Freehand is a browser-based casual gaming platform that recently reached 50,000 players. We build approachable games and engaging online experiences, and we are looking for a creative, internet-savvy intern to work closely with the founder on content, community, partnerships, and day-to-day operations.

The work

Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, and publish short-form videos, memes, posts, and stories for Instagram and other relevant channels.
  • Turn gameplay, player scores, reactions, and new game launches into entertaining content.
  • Respond thoughtfully to comments and messages and participate in relevant online communities.
  • Track content performance and suggest practical experiments to attract more players.
  • Identify relevant creators, gaming pages, content houses, and promotional partners.
  • Draft personalised outreach, manage follow-ups, coordinate collaborations, and maintain a simple prospect tracker.
  • Organise player feedback, flag recurring issues, help coordinate game launches and community activities, and support routine operational tasks.

Requirements

  • Strong written English and a good sense of internet humour.
  • Comfort creating basic videos and graphics with tools such as CapCut and Canva.
  • Organised, proactive, and reliable with follow-ups.
  • Interest in casual games and familiarity with US or global internet culture.
  • Previous experience growing a personal, college, community, or brand account is a plus, but formal marketing experience is not required.
