What is skill verification on insiderOne?
Skill verification is a live, adaptive challenge that generates fresh questions around your answers, grades them, and on a pass seals the result with a signature only insiderOne can produce. The sealed record is called a receipt. Anyone can paste a receipt into the public verifier and confirm it is genuine and unaltered, with no account and no trust in the candidate required.
Named mechanisms, not adjectives.
Every one of these is implemented and can be pointed at. On a product whose pitch is that claims get checked, the description of it cannot be the one place that is not.
Fresh questions, never a bank
There is no question bank to memorise. Each question is generated against your stated experience and checked against every prior prompt so a repeat cannot slip through. Open questions are built from your own history, so a generic pasted answer reads as generic.
Adaptive ladder
The challenge climbs from foundational to practitioner to expert as you hold a rung and backs off when you do not, in three to six questions. The tier you finish on is the tier you actually hold, and a pass requires both a passing verdict and a score above the floor.
Seven kinds of evidence, each with a ceiling
Demonstrated live can reach 100. A credential 85. Work you produced 70. A vouch from someone else 60. Experience, outcomes and tenure lower still. The ceilings are structural: ten vouches from ten friends cannot reach Expert. One live pass can.
Independence, not volume
Every piece of evidence carries a key for where it came from. Five vouches from one company count as roughly one. A second artifact counts; the same artifact re-evaluated does not. Different kinds of evidence agreeing is worth more than one kind repeating.
Cheating made expensive, honestly
Pasted text, tab switching, answers faster than a person can type, and prompt injection are all detected. A flagged answer is not merely capped: it is removed from the tier calculation entirely, so it cannot buy a rung. The visible per-question clock is the defence against a second device, because the round trip to another model costs more time than the budget allows.
A signed passport for work you submit
Links and files you submit as evidence are fetched, hashed and graded, and the verdict itself is signed so it cannot be forged on the way back through your browser. A file already submitted under another account drops to a fraction of its trust rather than being silently accepted.
A public verifier and a tamper-evident ledger
Anyone can verify a receipt at insiderone.in/verify-receipt. Every verification event is appended to a per-person hash chain, so a change to any past entry breaks every entry after it.

Questions, answered.
How long does a skill challenge take?
Three to six questions. Multiple choice questions have a 75 second budget; open questions run from three to five minutes depending on the tier. A typical run is about ten minutes. A six-question expert run can take up to half an hour.
Can I fake my way through a challenge?
It is engineered to make that expensive rather than impossible, which is the honest way to say it. Questions are generated fresh, pasted text and tab switching are detected, and a flagged answer is removed from the tier calculation rather than just capped. You also cannot rescue a weak challenge with endorsements, because that kind of evidence is structurally capped no matter how much of it you collect.
What exactly does verifying a receipt prove?
One thing: that this exact result was sealed by insiderOne and not a character has changed since. A green result means nobody edited the score, the date or the skill. A broken one means something was altered and the receipt is worthless.
What is the iOPC score?
A calibrated zero to one hundred measure of how well evidenced you are, computed from your verified skills with published weights: corroboration 30, demonstration 25, record coherence 20, independence 15 and currency 10.
