Is this internship offer real?

Paste the offer email, WhatsApp message or listing. The checker reads it for the warning signs fake offers share and tells you what to do about each one.

The whole message works best: the email, the chat or the listing, as you received it.

Paste the message first.

How it works

  • The text is read in your browser against a fixed list of warning signs: a fee or deposit, a certificate for money, requests for ID, bank details or an OTP, a free email sender, contact moved to WhatsApp or Telegram, pressure to decide today, pay that is hard to believe, no interview, and hidden or mismatched links.
  • Asking for money, selling a certificate, and asking for an OTP or for ID before an offer letter count as serious. The rest are warnings: one alone can be innocent, several together rarely are.
  • It reads signals in the text only. It does not judge any company or person, and it cannot see who really sent the message.
  • Nothing you paste is stored. The optional SI second opinion sends the text to the model for that one reading and keeps nothing.

This is a guide, not a guarantee. A clean result means these rules found nothing, not that the offer is real. Always confirm with the company directly.

Questions

How can I tell if an internship offer is real?

A real offer comes after you applied and were interviewed or tested, arrives from the company's own email domain, gives you days to accept, and never asks you to pay. Check that the same role is listed on the company's own careers page, reached by typing its address yourself.

Should I pay a registration fee, training fee or security deposit for an internship?

No. Employers pay interns; they do not charge them. A fee to register, train, confirm a seat or receive an offer letter is the most common sign of a fake offer. insiderOne never charges students to apply.

Is it safe to share my Aadhaar, PAN or bank details?

Only after you have signed an offer letter, and only on the company's own onboarding system. Never share an OTP, UPI PIN or card details with anyone, at any stage.

Does a clean result mean the offer is genuine?

No. The checker reads the text you paste for known warning signs. It is a guide, not a guarantee, and it cannot see who really sent the message. Always confirm the offer with the company directly.

Does this checker say whether a company is genuine?

No. It does not judge any company or person. It explains the signals in the text you paste, so you can decide what to check next.

Is the text I paste stored?

No. The checks run in your browser. If you ask for the optional SI second opinion (an AI model reading it once), the text is sent to the model for that one reading and is not saved.

What should I do if I have already paid?

Report it at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930, the national cyber crime helpline, as soon as you can, and tell your bank. Acting quickly gives the best chance of stopping the payment.
