About the Role

MITCON Envirotech Ltd. is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer – Civil to join its Environment Management & Engineering Division. The candidate will be responsible for civil construction estimation, site supervision, project coordination, quality control, and execution support for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in civil construction activities, quantity estimation, BOQ preparation, and project execution, preferably in water and wastewater treatment plant EPC/PMC projects.

The work

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors for technical discussions, project updates, and issue resolution.
• Monitor project execution against approved cost, quality, schedule, and scope.
• Assist in preparing technical offers, cost estimates, method statements, and project-related documentation.
• Prepare and verify BOQs, RCC quantities, reinforcement steel quantities, and civil construction estimates for WTP, STP, and ETP projects.
• Supervise and monitor civil, mechanical, and piping works at project sites.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of process and electromechanical equipment.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Maintain site documentation, inspection reports, quality records, measurement sheets, and work completion records.
• Prepare Material Requirement Plans (MRP) and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely material availability.
• Conduct site inspections, identify construction deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify quantities, contractor bills, and work completion certifications.
• Support commissioning, performance trials, and final handover of WTP, STP, and ETP projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in EPC/PMC projects involving water and wastewater treatment plants will be preferred.

• B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in civil construction and project execution.
• Good knowledge of Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
• Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, RCC structures, and reinforcement steel calculations.
• Understanding of civil, mechanical, and piping work execution at project sites.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.
• Good coordination, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines.
