Job Profile: Sr Software Development Engineer in Test  Location: Bangalore | Karnataka Years of Experience: 4 - 6 ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE: Sr Software Development Engineer in Test is a technical individual contributor role at Swiggy and in this role, an individual is solely responsible for setting up and implementation of test automation strategy from Functional and Non-functional perspective for one module or multiple modules (majorly comprising of web app, mobile web, embedded web views)  What qualities are we looking for? • Must be an Independent executioner and has prior experience of handling complex projects with stakeholders.  • Must have prior experience with visual regression, accessibility, performance testing, CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), flaky-test management, component testing. • Good to have prior experience with TypeScript/E2E frameworks (Playwright/Cypress).  • Must have prior experience in creating optimal test strategy (Including  Functional, Non-Functional, Analytics and automation) and test plans for  short term and long-term projects. • Must be strong in verbal and written communication.  • Very  good design skills.  • Must have understanding of mobile app and web automation experience (Appium/ selenium/typescript) • Must  have understanding and implementation level experience on design patterns. • Must have prior experience in creating test automation frameworks  and self-serve tools.  • Must have  prior automation experience for Rest based web services using Java • Must  have strong hands-on experience on functional  and non-functional automation both for Web, Rest services.  • Must be strong in writing complex SQL  queries using joins.  • Must  have hands-on experience on designing  database schemas for self-serve utilities.  What will you get to do here? • In this role, you are also responsible for finding innovative ways to optimize the test strategy for maximizing ROI from areas that are undertaken for automation.  • Sr SDET is also responsible for the addition of new capabilities and features in the automation framework which is used by the entire QA team for test automation.  • You are also responsible for managing and maintaining test coverage through periodic reports to engineering and stakeholders. • Sr SDET is an expert role and demands a complete hands-on contribution on Single or multiple projects simultaneously. • Must have prior experience in creating optimal test strategy (Including Functional, Non-Functional, Analytics and automation) and test plans for short term and long-term projects both. ·         • Must have understanding and implementation level experience on design patterns.   • Must have prior experience with visual regression, accessibility, performance testing, CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), flaky-test management, component testing. • Good to have prior experience with TypeScript/E2E frameworks (Playwright/Cypress).     Visit our tech blogs to learn more about some the challenges we deal with: https://medium.com/swiggy-bytes We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, sex, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by the law.
