Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Intern to assist our procurement team. The role involves supporting the team in identifying suppliers, obtaining competitive quotations, tracking orders, and ensuring timely availability of materials required for business operations. This internship offers hands-on exposure to startup operations, supply chain management, and technical procurement.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, eagerness to learn, and the ability to coordinate procurement activities efficiently while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.

The work

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and developing reliable suppliers for materials, components, and services.
• Source quotations from multiple vendors and help compare pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
• Support the team throughout the complete procurement cycle.
• Assist in coordinate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Help create and manage RFQs (Request for Quotations) and compile supplier responses.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, production, and finance teams to understand procurement requirements.
• Ensure timely tracking of materials to avoid production or project delays.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
• Help resolve supply issues, delivery delays, and quality concerns with vendors.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and purchase documentation accurately.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing research and price comparisons.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
• 0–1 years of experience or a strong academic interest in sourcing, procurement, and vendor management.
• Familiarity or willingness to learn domestic and international supplier handling.
• Good negotiation interest and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes and purchase documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and openness to learning ERP systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Nice to have

Preferred Experience

• Prior internship or academic project experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management, preferably within battery, e-mobility, or related sectors.
• Exposure to startups, manufacturing, EV, battery, or technology industries will be an added advantage.
