The work

Responsibilities of the Intern

• Contribute to the development of an AI driven equipment monitoring and predictive maintenance research prototype. The project explores how sensor observations, machine learning methods and time series analysis can support the assessment of equipment condition, early identification of irregular patterns and better scheduling of routine maintenance. Interns will work on software pipelines for sample telemetry, anomaly detection, visual dashboards, alerts and documentation. The proposal includes exploring predictive indicators and remaining useful life estimates, with recommendations subject to human engineering review. Because the sponsoring unit has not identified an existing dataset for the internship, candidates may need to obtain authorised sample data or develop suitable synthetic datasets for controlled testing. The opportunity is best suited to technically strong applicants interested in applied artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, industrial analytics, signal processing or full stack data applications. Work must respect information security requirements and focus on approved nonsensitive development material.
