Utilized is looking for a motivated Business Development Intern to support its B2C sales and growth initiatives. This opportunity is suited to freshers and undergraduate students who want hands-on exposure to consumer prospecting, customer outreach, lead qualification, relationship building, and the day-to-day foundations of business development in a remote work environment. Interns will work directly with the founder, gaining close exposure to business priorities, decision-making, customer conversations, and practical growth execution.

The work

Responsibilities

• Research consumer segments, customer needs, market trends, and relevant outreach opportunities.
• Identify and qualify potential customers through online research, referrals, social platforms, and approved outreach channels.
• Support personalized email, phone, and professional-network communication with prospective customers.
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations, follow-ups, responses, and conversion activity.
• Understand customer requirements and communicate relevant Utilized offerings clearly and professionally.
• Assist with product presentations, customer queries, reports, meeting notes, and basic sales tracking.
• Work directly with the founder to understand priorities, share updates, receive feedback, and contribute to business development decisions.
• Coordinate with the business development team to improve outreach quality and customer engagement.
• Review performance feedback and continuously improve communication, follow-up discipline, and conversion efforts.

Requirements

This is a six-month remote internship with flexible working hours. College students may schedule their work according to their availability, with a maximum commitment of 4–5 hours per day. The first four months are commission-based, with no fixed stipend. For the remaining two months, the stipend will be performance-linked and range from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 per month, subject to performance. Top performers may receive a pre-placement offer with compensation of ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month. This opportunity offers practical experience in customer acquisition, consumer engagement, sales coordination, B2C business development, and direct founder interaction.

• Freshers and undergraduate students in their first or second year are eligible to apply.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and confidence in customer conversations.
• Self-motivation, persistence, active listening, and a willingness to learn consumer sales techniques.
• Good organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage follow-ups consistently.
• Basic comfort with online research, email, spreadsheets, and remote collaboration tools.
• A performance-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
