Role Overview

Bipolar Factory is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial record-keeping, invoicing, statutory compliance, and payment reconciliations. The role requires accuracy, accountability, and a sound understanding of accounting fundamentals.

The work

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Record vendor bills, verify invoices against purchase orders, and coordinate timely vendor payments.
• Accounts Receivable: Prepare quotations, proforma invoices, and tax invoices; track outstanding payments and follow up with customers.
• Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile vendor and customer ledgers, including receivables ageing reports.
• GST Compliance: Assist with the preparation and filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B and reconcile input tax credit with GSTR-2B.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Support month-end closing and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
• Documentation: Ensure accounting records, invoices, and supporting financial documents are properly maintained.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• B.Com graduate with 0–1 year of relevant accounting experience; freshers with a strong foundation in accounting may apply.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and GST compliance.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Zoho Books or Tally.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Tamil.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to manage assigned responsibilities independently and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

Preferred Skills

• Basic exposure to TDS compliance and e-invoicing.
• Familiarity with accounting documentation and statutory compliance processes.
