GE Healthcare is hiring for the role of Test Automation Engineer!
The work
•
Collaborates with system engineers, front-end developers, and software developers to implement solutions tailored to and extended across shared solutions and platforms
•
Applies SDLC principles and methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring techniques, and testing
•
Writes standards-compliant code and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
•
Builds features such as web services and queries on existing tables
•
Understands performance parameters and evaluates application performance
•
Works on core data structures and algorithms and implements them using the appropriate language
Who they want
•
This position requires basic experience in Software Engineering.
•
Academic background equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) discipline.
•
Experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, EmberJS, and KnockoutJS.
•
Experience with database tools (JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, Spring Data).
•
Experience with rules engines (Camel, Drools, JRules) and modern tooling (Gradle, Maven, Git, SVN).
•
Comfortable creating features such as web services and querying existing tables.
•
Knowledge of methodologies and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc.
•
Previous work experience in an Agile environment or introductory Lean/Agile training.
•
Knowledge of and ability to apply continuous integration (CI).
•
General understanding of the impact of technology choices on the software development lifecycle
