Hoogway.ai is building AI-powered voice agents that help businesses automate customer interactions, outbound calling, collections, verification, support, surveys, and other voice-driven workflows. As a Founding Sales and Business Development Intern, you will work closely with the Hoogway.ai founding team to build the company’s sales engine, with a particular focus on banks, NBFCs, insurers, fintechs, lending companies, collections agencies, and other BFSI organizations.

The work

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development for AI Voice Agent solutions across the BFSI sector.
• Research target accounts, identify high-value use cases, and build a qualified sales pipeline.
• Generate leads through outbound prospecting, LinkedIn, networking, events, referrals, and other channels.
• Engage senior decision-makers, understand business challenges, conduct product demonstrations, and communicate relevant solutions.
• Own opportunities from lead generation and qualification through meetings, proposals, negotiation, and closure, with support from the founding and technical teams.
• Build sales materials, pitches, pricing inputs, customer proposals, and repeatable sales processes.
• Capture market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategy.
• As the business grows, contribute to defining sales processes and help build the future sales team.

• Strong interest in sales, business development, entrepreneurship, AI, voice technology, enterprise software, and the BFSI industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence initiating conversations with unfamiliar people and senior stakeholders.
• High ownership, persistence, curiosity, and comfort with rejection, ambiguity, and fast experimentation.
• Ability to understand customer problems and explain solutions clearly.
• A proactive, action-oriented mindset and willingness to work directly with founders and build processes from scratch.
• Prior sales experience is useful but not mandatory; initiative, learning speed, communication, and measurable outcomes are highly valued.
• This is a full-time, in-office internship in Bangalore for 6 months. The fixed monthly stipend is ₹15,000–₹50,000. The role also offers performance-linked commission potential of up to 10% of annual revenue generated from customers acquired through the intern, subject to agreed commercial terms.
