We are seeking a skilled FM Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of building systems and facilities. The role involves managing preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining the efficient operation of MEP systems.

The work

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and ELV systems.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Monitor facility performance and ensure minimal downtime of critical equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality service delivery.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, reports, and documentation.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and procurement for facility-related services and materials.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and company standards.
• Respond to emergencies and provide technical support for facility-related issues.
• Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.

Who they want

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering.
• 4-8 years of Facilities Management experience in commercial, residential, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, BMS, Fire & Life Safety systems.
• Experience managing maintenance teams and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with CAFM/CMMS software.
• Good knowledge of local authority regulations and HSE standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice to have

Preferred Qualifications

• FM certifications such as FMP, CFM, or IFMA-related certifications.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
• Experience working in high-rise buildings, communities, malls, or large-scale facilities.
