Cummins Inc. is hiring for the role of Electronic Systems Engineer - Software!

The work

Responsibilities of the Candidate

  • Investigates product software problems, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution, and documents results.
  • Applies and supports the improvement of product software development processes and tools.
  • Obtains input and collaborates with product and software development teams and delivers verified software features, components, builds to product teams.
  • Support Transitioning PSBU products to Phase 35 software (Core 2)
  • Support Global VPI software development to meet T4 and StgV emissions
  • Convert PSBU owned Phase 25 and Phase 32 components to be Phase 35 compatible

Requirements

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
  • Entry level/Early career professional. Preferred candidates would have relevant experience working in either a temporary student employment environment (intern, co-op, or other extracurricular team activities) or as an early career professional in a relevant technical discipline area. Knowledge of MS Office tools is also preferred
  • Simulink, Matlab, C, Integrity, C2ST experience is necessary.
  • Basic Bench testing knowledge would be added advantage
  • Basic awareness about system integration of engine and its applications
