The work

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting, reporting, and financial controls related to import and export transactions.
• Review invoices, purchase records, shipping documents, duties, taxes, and vendor reconciliations.
• Support GST, customs, income tax, and other applicable statutory compliance requirements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, cash-flow updates, and variance analyses.
• Coordinate with internal teams, banks, auditors, logistics partners, and external advisors.
• Identify control gaps, improve finance processes, and maintain accurate documentation for audits.

Requirements

This is a full-time, in-office opportunity based in Mumbai, with compensation of ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000 per month.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with strong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
• Practical understanding of import-export transactions, taxation, customs duties, and compliance processes.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, communication skills, and proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheets.
• Ability to work independently from the Mumbai office and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
