What it tests
Every question is written to stay inside Frontend Development itself, not a neighbouring subject or management.
The brief our question writer works from
Building web interfaces that work for real users: how HTTP requests, status codes and the browser's DOM fit together, semantic HTML with labels, buttons, headings and alt text that keyboards and screen readers can use, CSS layout with the box model, flexbox, grid and mobile-first media queries, browser JavaScript with arrays, objects, events and the DOM API, asynchronous code with promises, async/await and fetch including checking res.ok and handling loading, empty and error states, React components with props, state, keys and effects with cleanup, controlled forms and lifting state, and shipping with Git, Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) and DevTools debugging. Real experience shows in testing on a narrow phone and a failing network. Often confused with knowing one framework's syntax, or with visual design alone.
Written questions give you something concrete to look at. That might be a short code snippet, a few numbers, a two-line message or a short situation.
How it works
1. Pick where to start
Say whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced. That only sets the first question. The rest adjust to your answers.
2. Answer 3 to 6 questions
Answer well and the next one gets harder. Miss and it gets easier. Most people finish in 3 or 4 questions.
3. Two kinds of question
Multiple choice gives you 75 seconds. A short written answer gives you 3 to 5 minutes, and a clock is always shown.
4. Pass and get your level
You pass with a score of 55 or more out of 100, the average of the answers that count. Your level is the hardest rung with at least two correct answers at it or above. A written answer is correct at 65 or more.
Foundational
Real basics, shown live. Build more proof to climb higher.
Practitioner
Solid working skill, confirmed under rising difficulty.
Expert
Held up at the hardest rung, including at least two correct written answers.
