About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editing Intern who is passionate about storytelling, visual content, and digital media. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, an understanding of social media trends, and a willingness to learn and experiment with different video formats.

As a Video Editing Intern, you will work closely with the creative and marketing teams to produce engaging video content for social media platforms, digital campaigns, promotional activities, and other brand communication initiatives.

The work

Key Responsibilities

• Create short-form videos, reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional videos, and other social media content.
• Add transitions, effects, subtitles, captions, background music, and sound effects to enhance video quality.
• Ensure videos align with brand guidelines, creative briefs, and platform-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with the content, design, and marketing teams to understand project objectives.
• Assist in creating video concepts, storyboards, and basic visual narratives.
• Optimize videos for different platforms, aspect ratios, and formats.
• Organize and manage video files, project assets, and editing timelines.
• Stay updated on emerging video editing techniques, social media trends, and content formats.
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions within agreed timelines.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
• Understanding of video composition, pacing, transitions, audio synchronization, and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other digital content formats.
• Basic understanding of typography, color correction, sound design, and subtitles.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn.
• Good time management and the ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Ability to work collaboratively and accept constructive feedback.
• Knowledge of using AI Tools.

Qualification and Eligibility Criteria

• Recent graduates in Mass Communication, Multimedia, Animation, Graphic Design, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates from other educational backgrounds with relevant editing skills and a strong portfolio are also welcome.
• A portfolio, showreel, or sample editing projects will be an added advantage.
