Akamai is hiring for the role of Software Engineer!
The work
•
Analyzing, designing, and implementing high availability systems software.
•
Bringing new functionality to a portfolio of services focused on automation, observability and identity management.
•
Supporting the full product life cycle - ideation, implementation, operation.
•
Improving the ability of our software systems for testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
•
Mentoring less experienced engineers to ensure quality solutions are implemented.
•
Evaluating emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation.
Who they want
•
Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field.
•
Have at least 0.6 years experience with programming in Python, Go and/or shell script.
•
Have at least 0.6 years development experience on Linux/ Unix platforms.
•
Have knowledge of common internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and/or TLS/SSL.
•
Have experience with git/Stash and Perforce version control systems.
•
Demonstrate exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities & a good team player.
