Microsoft is hiring for the role of Software Engineer Apprenticeship! Responsibilities of the Apprentice: • Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems through sound and creative engineering. • Work with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature. • Understand the business context and business/ end-user requirements for the program • Quickly learns new engineering methods and incorporates them into work processes. • Seek feedback and apply internal or industry best practices to improve technical solutions. • Demonstrate skill in time management and completing software projects in a cooperative team environment. • Review current developments and proactively seek new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. • Develop and test programs (such as Java, Python and HTML5) aligned with design specifications using best practices like reusability and exception handling. Maintain documentation for code, test cases, and reusable components. Requirements: • 2026 graduate in Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems
