The work

Responsibilities

  • Read Figma designs, annotations, and requirements to understand conversation paths, expected behaviour, and changes from the existing flow. Clarify gaps before testing.
  • Create test cases linked to requirements, with prerequisites, test data, steps, and expected outcomes. Cover each branch and completion path.
  • Execute functional, end-to-end, and regression tests on student and teacher journeys. Verify messages, routing, variables, stored responses, and integration outcomes against approved designs.
  • Test invalid inputs, missing or delayed responses, interrupted and restarted journeys, language variations, and integration failures where applicable.

Who they want

Requirements

  • 2+ year of relevant experience, with demonstrated work in both QA and chatbot or workflow development.
  • Practical experience testing conversational flows or branching user journeys, including functional, end-to-end, and regression testing.
  • Ability to interpret Figma designs and annotations, understand flow changes, and identify missing or ambiguous behaviour.
  • Experience independently creating test cases, executing testing, documenting bugs, verifying fixes, and reporting completion.
  • Hands-on development experience in Glific or comparable chatbot, conversational-flow, or workflow-automation platforms, including conditional logic, variables, validation, and data handling.
  • Prior Glific experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates new to Glific should be able to show workflows they have built and debugged, explain their logic, and demonstrate the ability to learn a new flow-building tool.
  • Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, and JSON, and how integrations affect conversation behaviour and test outcomes.
  • A systematic approach to debugging, clear written communication, and the ability to follow testing and development tasks through to completion.

Who they want

Skills You Bring

  • QA judgement: Identify edge cases and prioritise tests by risk.
  • Design interpretation: Turn Figma journeys into test cases and flow logic.
  • Flow development: Build and debug branching workflows and trace conversation data.
  • Ownership: Verify fixes, document results, and communicate release risks promptly.

Nice to have

Good to Have

  • Experience developing and maintaining Glific flows used by real users.
  • Experience with WhatsApp applications and multilingual conversational flows.
  • Basic scripting in Python or JavaScript, or experience automating repeatable tests.
  • Familiarity with API testing, bug-tracking, and test-management tools.
  • Working knowledge of Git or SQL for investigating issues and validating data.

Also

What Success Looks Like

  • Flow changes match approved Figma designs and acceptance criteria across student and teacher journeys.
  • Test cases cover changed and affected paths, with documented execution results before release.
  • Defects are reproducible, prioritised, and tracked through fix verification; unresolved issues and blocked tests are clearly reported.
  • After learning the platform, you can independently build, modify, and debug Glific flows using established team practices.
  • Flow documentation and regression tests stay current as requirements change.

What you get

Why Join Us?

The flows you test and build shape how students and teachers learn through WhatsApp. You'll catch broken journeys before release and turn program requirements into working conversations, developing your QA and Glific skills while seeing how your work supports learning.

What You Can Expect?

  • Real ownership: Take responsibility for conversation-flow testing and the Glific changes you implement.
  • Practical learning: Develop your Glific skills while working on branching journeys, integrations, and the testing challenges they create.
  • Collaborative environment: Work closely with product, design, operations, curriculum, and program teams to improve the student experience.
  • Supportive culture: Collaborative teams, open communication, and shared purpose.
  • Sector-aligned compensation: Competitive salary in line with experience and nonprofit standards.
