About the role

VXI is hiring for the role of Cloud Infrastructure Engineer!

The work

Responsibilities of the Candidate

  • Provision, manage, and decommission virtual machines and related cloud resources following defined runbooks
  • Execute IAM role assignments, group memberships, and access reviews per established access policies
  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including pipeline configuration updates, troubleshooting failed builds, and deployment automation
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code changes (Terraform or equivalent) under code review
  • Assist with basic networking configurations (VPC rules, firewall changes, routing) under supervision
  • Monitor cloud resource utilization and flag cost or performance anomalies
  • Maintain documentation of infrastructure changes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Hands on experience in cloud, DevOps, or systems engineering roles (internships, academic projects, or certifications acceptable)
  • Foundational understanding of at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
  • Working knowledge of Linux fundamentals — file system structure, permissions, shell commands, and safe command execution practices
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, subnets, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD concepts
