26 internships at licensed visa sponsors are open in the United Kingdom on insiderOne as of 27 October 2026. A licence means an employer can sponsor a visa, not that it will for a given role. Hiring most: Graphcore, Riverlane and Qube Research & Technologies. Each listing links to the company behind it and to the skills it tests for, so you can prove what you can do before you apply. Updated 27 October 2026.

Guide: The UK Graduate visa and sponsored jobs

Paid internships first.

Before you apply

The Graduate route is shrinking: Two years, or eighteen months from January
Apply on or before 31 December 2026 and it is two years; apply on or after 1 January 2027 and it is eighteen months. PhD holders get three years either way. No employer sponsor is needed and it cannot be extended, so the date you apply is worth more than six months of your life here.

Skilled Worker minimum salary: £41,700, or the going rate if it is higher
Each occupation code has its own going rate, and being above the headline figure is not enough if you are below the rate for your code. A lower threshold of £33,400 applies in some cases.

Right to work is checked before you start: By law, before the first day
An employer must check you are allowed to work for them before employing you, and faces a civil penalty if they do not. It is why a British application asks about your status early, and why saying nothing about it slows you down rather than helping.

Working on a Student visa: Limited, and some work is barred outright
How much you may work depends on your course level and whether it is term time. Self-employment and work as a professional sportsperson are not allowed at all, whatever the hours.

  • Say your right to work up front

An employer has to check it before you start and is fined if they get it wrong, so it is the first filter rather than a detail at offer stage. British citizen, settled status, Graduate route, or needing sponsorship: say which.

  • Graduate schemes close a year early

Most large employers recruit graduates in the autumn for the following September, and the popular ones close before Christmas. Applying in spring for an autumn start is usually a year late.

  • Spring weeks and insight programmes

First-year and penultimate-year schemes, mostly in finance and law, that lead directly to internship offers. They are the earliest real entry point and almost nobody applies to them on time.

  • No photograph, no date of birth

The opposite of the German and Gulf conventions. A CV carrying either reads as a legal risk to a British employer rather than as thorough.

  • Two pages, and one early on

A graduate CV is one page. Two is normal once there is real experience. Longer is read as an inability to edit.

  • Not everything is in London

Monzo's largest site is Cardiff, GoCardless is building in Leeds, Darktrace is Cambridge. Salaries are lower outside London and so is rent, usually by more.
