What you will be able to do

  • Write prompts with a clear task, context, audience, constraints and output format for everyday work
  • Build few-shot prompts and structured tables that show a gap instead of filling it
  • Break a large task into a chain of checkable steps, with the arithmetic kept in a spreadsheet
  • Produce a line by line check of model output that catches invented figures, causes and citations
  • Redact a work document so a chat assistant can help without seeing personal data
  • Build a reusable prompt template and test it on several inputs before the team relies on it

Students, freshers and early career professionals in any role who already use a chat assistant for college or work and want output they can put their name to.

The Monday depot update

Your reusable prompt with marked slots, the update you expect it to produce from this week's table, the exact checks you would make before sending it, and one failure you anticipate with the part of your prompt that guards against it.

Two levels

Finish the units and the project and you get the Certificate of Completion. Pass the live skill challenge on Prompt Engineering at Practitioner level or above and it becomes a Verified Certificate, which anyone you send it to can check for themselves.

Questions

What does it cost?

Nothing. The course and the certificate are free, and so is verifying it.

Can an employer check it?

Yes. Every certificate has its own page, and the code printed on it resolves there without anyone needing an account.

Do I need any experience?

No. These are written for students and people in their first job, and they assume nothing.

What do I actually walk away with?

The certificate, and the piece of work you made for the project. That goes into your insiderOne profile as a proof item, private until you choose to show it.

Know someone studying this?

The course and the certificate are free, and anyone they send it to can check it.
