What you will be able to do

  • Say whether a problem needs a model, a written rule, or neither
  • Split a dataset properly and spot leakage before it reaches a result
  • Compute precision, recall and F1 from a confusion matrix and explain what they mean
  • Explain how a neural network is trained and how a language model produces text
  • Write and test a prompt grounded in source material, and say when not to use AI
  • Name the bias, privacy and security risks in a real deployment

Students and freshers aiming at AI, ML or data science internships, and anyone who uses AI tools at work and wants to know when to trust them.

Should we switch it on

A short memo to the founder: the numbers, whether to switch the model on and on what conditions, the risks you found, and the prompt for the rejection SMS with how you would test it.

About 125 minutes in total.

Two levels

Finish the units and the project and you get the Certificate of Completion. Pass the live skill challenge on Machine Learning at Practitioner level or above and it becomes a Verified Certificate, which anyone you send it to can check for themselves.

Questions

What does it cost?

Nothing while insiderOne is in beta.

Can an employer check it?

Yes. Every certificate has its own page, and the code printed on it resolves there without anyone needing an account.

Do I need any experience?

No. These are written for students and people in their first job, and they assume nothing.

What do I actually walk away with?

The certificate, and the piece of work you made for the project. That goes into your insiderOne profile as a proof item, private until you choose to show it.

Know someone studying this?

It is free while insiderOne is in beta, and the certificate is checkable by anyone they send it to.
