A real task, broken into missions, graded on what you produced.
A simulation is a scenario and a task, split into three to six missions. You produce something. It is graded. A pass mints demonstrated evidence into your record, which is the strongest kind there is. And by construction, a run that could not be properly graded can never mint it.
What are simulations on insiderOne?
Simulations are structured work tasks with three to six steps, each with a validated prompt, that produce a deliverable graded against the task. A convincing pass creates demonstrated evidence for the relevant skill. A fallback score used when grading is unavailable is capped below the threshold that creates verified evidence, so a degraded run can never become proof.
Named mechanisms, not adjectives.
Every one of these is implemented and can be pointed at. On a product whose pitch is that claims get checked, the description of it cannot be the one place that is not.
Missions that are real questions
Every step prompt is validated before anyone sees it. An earlier version produced a step whose entire question was one word. That class of failure is now caught by a length floor and a fragment check.
A deliverable with a floor
The length expected of your answer is proportional to what the task actually asks for, so a one-line answer to a plan-the-launch task does not pass.
A fallback that cannot mint proof
If grading is unavailable, a heuristic score applies, and its ceiling sits below the threshold that creates verified evidence. This is arithmetic, not a flag someone has to remember to set.
Stable links
Every run has its own address, so refresh, back and deep links all work, and a retake resumes the run in progress.
In practice.
- Turn a skill you have into demonstrated evidence without a job to prove it in.
- Twenty minutes of real work is worth more on your record than any number of endorsements.
- Earn experience points and badges along the way.

Questions, answered.
How long does a simulation take?
Around twenty minutes for three to six missions. Each mission asks for a deliverable proportional to the task.
Does a simulation count as verified evidence?
A convincing pass does, as demonstrated evidence. A run that could not be properly graded uses a fallback score that is capped below the threshold for verified evidence, so it cannot.
