BNP Paribas is hiring for the role of Associate – Repo/Bonds settlements!

The work

Responsibilities of the Candidate

  • Ensure all Repo, Bonds, and associated product transactions are instructed, matched, and settled on a timely and cost-effective basis.
  • Monitor failing trades and mitigate potential fails using pair-offs or partial deliveries.
  • Resolve Nostro and Depot reconciliation breaks on a timely basis by investigating and entering details into Calypso.
  • Investigate and clear accounting breaks identified by Securities Control & Accounting teams, escalating operational risks when necessary.
  • Minimize settlement costs and operational risk by adhering to compliance policies, increasing custodian STP rates, and reducing manual interventions.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with traders, sales, domestic agents, custodians, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in securities settlement or a similar domain.
  • Good working knowledge of settlement logics, financial products, and tools such as Easyway, XACT, CREST GUI, Calypso, and Power BI.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (including advanced formulas and pivot tables) and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and team-player skills with fluency in English.
