HSBC is hiring for the role of Administration Support Apprentice!

The work

Responsibilities of the Apprentice

  • Provide full administration/office support to the Markets Sales teams, as required, anticipating workload and supporting with appropriate materials
  • Reply to and formulate correspondence on behalf of the Line Manager or team
  • Manage Line Manager or team e-mails and inboxes as required - responding, prioritising and printing
  • Manage Line Manager or team diaries as required – organising meeting and booking rooms
  • Ensure meeting papers, agenda items, presentations and MI are collated for meetings
  • Monitor meeting action items as appropriate, advising Line Manager/team of progress
  • Prepare presentation materials (PDFs, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.)
  • Prepare, reconcile and submit all expenses in a timely manner
  • Place stationery orders for general office supplies, business cards, diaries, etc. and coordinate with Procurement team as required
  • Use of Office packages to produce and type documents
  • Co-ordinate travel and accommodation requirements, including obtaining visas as required
  • Coordination with Facilities team for logistics and setups in work space
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the Markets business for Sales teams and/or any other teams
  • The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation
  • This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviours that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhering to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators
  • The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational and conduct risks in their day to day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structures referred to as the 'Three Lines of Defence'. The job holder should understand their position within Three Lines of Defence and operate within operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure.
