The work

Responsibilities of the Intern

  • You will work with analysts and product partners to understand player behavior, game performance, and business questions using data.
  • You will use SQL to extract and transform data, and R or Python to explore datasets, test hypotheses, and communicate insights.
  • You will support focused analytics projects in areas such as player engagement, retention, monetization, experimentation, segmentation, forecasting, or anomaly detection.
  • You will apply statistical and data science fundamentals to real-world problems, validate your findings, and clearly document assumptions and limitations.
  • You will create clear visualizations and summaries that help product and game teams understand findings and make informed decisions.
  • You will collaborate with experienced analysts, participate in analytical discussions and reviews, and document your methodology so that your work can be reproduced and extended.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and basic window functions
  • Working knowledge of either R or Python for data analysis, including data manipulation, exploratory analysis, and visualization
  • Solid foundation in statistics, including descriptive statistics, probability, sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, correlation, and regression fundamentals
  • Basic understanding of data science concepts such as regression/classification, clustering, train/test validation, model evaluation, and overfitting
  • Academic, personal, or internship projects demonstrating end-to-end analytical problem solving
  • Exposure to experimentation, time-series analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection, segmentation, or predictive modeling
  • Experience with data visualization tools or libraries and the ability to communicate analytical findings clearly
  • Interest in games, digital products, consumer behavior, or using modern AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate analytical work
