Cyber Security Engineer intern

Cars24 is hiring for the role of Cyber Security Engineer Intern Responsibilities of the Intern : • Build and maintain automation scripts/pipelines for security scanning (e.g., secret detection, dependency vulnerability scanning, SAST/DAST) across large-scale repositories • Assist in triaging and remediating security findings (exposed credentials, vulnerable dependencies, misconfigurations) with clear, actionable reporting • Support CI/CD security integrations — helping enforce security gates (e.g., GitHub rulesets, branch protections, PR-blocking checks) without disrupting developer velocity • Help develop internal tooling/dashboards for security visibility (e.g., tracking scan coverage, open findings, SLA compliance) • Contribute to Zero Trust and access control debugging (e.g., Cloudflare WARP/Access issues) and help build self-service diagnostic tools (e.g., Slack bots) for common access errors • Assist in drafting/updating security policy and compliance documentation aligned with frameworks like ISO 27001, DPDP Act 2023, PCI DSS, and CERT-In directions • Participate in vulnerability research and stay current on emerging attack techniques and open-source security tooling (e.g., TruffleHog, OSV-Scanner, Trivy, Grype, Semgrep) • Support incident response and security communications, learning to write clear, stats-driven, actionable updates for engineering stakeholders • Collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps/SRE teams on secret management migrations and infrastructure hardening • Document findings, playbooks, and automation workflows for team knowledge sharing Requirements : • Strong interest in security automation, scripting (Python/Bash), and CI/CD pipelines • Basic understanding of common vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10, secret sprawl, IAM misconfigurations) • Curiosity and initiative — comfortable exploring new tools and proposing better ways to solve problems • Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows is a plus • Degree: BCA/BTECH/BSC and other
