Job Description Senior Project Manager – R&D, Finance Job Purpose / Overview This role exists to provide senior project management leadership for the Food & Nutrition R&D and Finance Digital Technology portfolio, ensuring strategic digital, automation, AI initiatives are delivered effectively while creating measurable business value. The Senior Project Manager will lead projects spanning R&D, Product Innovation, PLM, Regulatory, Data & Analytics, Finance Transformation, Automation, AI-enabled solutions and digital productivity platforms. The role will coordinate business, DT, Automation teams in MGS, data, architecture, external partners and delivery teams from ideation through benefit realization Key Responsibilities ·    Lead end-to-end delivery of R&D and Finance Digital Technology projects across the Food & Nutrition segment. ·    Manage project execution across the complete lifecycle including demand intake, business case development, discovery, planning, design, build, testing, deployment, hypercare and transition to support. ·    Drive automation, AI, analytics and digital transformation initiatives that improve business efficiency, accelerate innovation, enhance decision making and reduce manual effort. ·    Partner with R&D, Product Development, Regulatory, Quality, Finance stakeholders ·    Build and maintain integrated project plans, RAID logs, dependency maps, governance dashboards, financial forecasts and executive reporting. ·    Coordinate global and regional stakeholders, DT teams, SMEs, vendors and system integrators to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to expected quality standards. ·    Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, AI governance, data governance, privacy, compliance and operational support standards. ·    Support deployment of solutions involving SAP, PLM, BOTS, Power Platform, Power BI, ServiceNow, AI platforms, automation technologies and enterprise analytics capabilities. ·    Lead project financial management including budgeting, forecasting, capitalization tracking, vendor management and benefit realization. ·    Manage project risks, dependencies and issues proactively, driving timely resolution and escalation through appropriate governance forums. ·    Partner with business teams to support change management, user adoption, training readiness and successful realization of business outcomes. ·    Support vendor and partner governance including Statements of Work (SoW), milestone management, deliverable acceptance, Vendor invoice processing etc. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methodologies, governance standards, templates, reporting and portfolio management processes AI-Enabled Delivery Responsibilities ·       Leverage AI tools to accelerate requirements gathering by converting business discussions, workshop outputs and stakeholder inputs into structured requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria. ·       Utilize AI solutions to support backlog creation, prioritization, requirements validation and identification of gaps, duplicates and dependencies. ·       Use AI-powered capabilities to generate project summaries, steering committee updates, sprint reports, executive communications and release readiness documentation. Champion responsible adoption of AI capabilities across R&D and Finance functions while ensuring compliance with AI governance standards Context and Scope The role operates within the Food & Nutrition Digital Technologies organization and partners closely with R&D, Product Innovation, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Segment & Enterprise Architecture, GDO, PMO and external delivery partners. The portfolio includes initiatives supporting projects encompassing: • Research & Development digital platforms • Regulatory and compliance solutions • AI and automation initiatives • Data, Analytics and Business Intelligence • Financial Planning & Analysis capabilities • Reporting and performance management The role will often manage complex cross-functional small size programs involving business process redesign, organizational change, data transformation, AI-enabled capabilities and enterprise technology integration. Success requires strong stakeholder engagement, influence without authority, global collaboration and disciplined execution Job Specifications / Qualifications   Education & Professional Qualifications   ·    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or related discipline. ·    PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM or equivalent Project Management certification preferred. Certifications in AI, Data Analytics, Process Automation, ServiceNow or Power Platform desirable Knowledge / Experience Required:   ·       Experience delivering business and technology transformation projects. ·       Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, Program Manager or Delivery Manager. ·       Strong experience managing projects within Finance  & R&D function ·       Experience delivering automation, workflow modernization, AI, analytics or business process improvement initiatives. ·       Expertise in project governance, budgeting, resource planning, RAID management, stakeholder communications and executive reporting. ·       Experience leading cross-functional teams across business, technology and external vendor organizations. ·       Experience managing vendors, system integrators and managed service providers. ·       Strong communication skills with ability to engage business leadership and technical teams. ·       Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across regions and functions.   Highly Desirable ·       Experience supporting R&D, Product Development, PLM, Regulatory or Innovation functions. ·       Experience supporting Finance, FP&A, Controllership, Reporting or Business Performance Management functions. ·       Experience delivering Power BI, Power Platform, AI, Data & Analytics and Automation solutions. ·       Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies including waterfall, agile and hybrid models. ·       Experience working with ServiceNow for project, workflow, demand or portfolio management. ·       Strong hands-on experience with Smartsheet for project planning, reporting, governance and portfolio tracking. ·       Demonstrated experience leveraging Generative AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, Gemini or equivalent) for project management activities including requirements gathering, user story creation, backlog management, project reporting, stakeholder communications, risk assessment and delivery governance.
